CBM is an international Christian development organisation, committed to improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities in the poorest communities of the world. We are looking to recruit a: “Global Compliance Manager” Main objective of the role: Reporting to the Chair of the International Leadership Team, the Global Compliance Manager will setup a global compliance system to prevent any unacceptable conduct by CBM employees or by employees of our partner organisations. The scope comprises all forms of unacceptable conduct (fraud, embezzlement of money, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, abuse, etc.) and spans across the CBM Federation. We are looking for someone who will: Conduct a full review of all existing policies and the status of their implementation across the CBM Federation. Revise the system of policies and implementation guidelines wherever gaps are found. Develop and implement a system of policies that protects CBM’s beneficiaries and employees by preventing all forms of unacceptable conduct. Define policies and processes for follow up in case of observed misconduct. Work with and report directly to the Chair of the International Leadership Team Closely cooperate with CBM International’s Internal Audit and Safeguarding functions Align work with and between CBM Member Associations and give guidance to stakeholders across the CBM Federation on how to achieve prevention of misconduct and protection of those we serve. Be available for hands-on support in terms of ensuring compliance, fixing compliance issues and reporting back to the case specific stakeholders Provide compliance training / capacity building upon request We are looking for someone who has: Education in Law, Business Administration or Economics Professional background and relevant working experience and expertise in compliance management in a complex setting with implementing partners Minimum of 3-5 years relevant working experience in low and middle-income countries, with at least 50% of that time at management level. Background and experience in development cooperation. Proven expertise in international and national/local cooperation and in building and managing effective partnerships. Experience in Internal Audit will be a major advantage Fluent English, German is an advantage Technical expertise in compliance regulations Global Perspective including intercultural negotiations Establishing focus in a complex field with many stakeholders and different interests Building Collaborative Relationships Analytical & Forward Thinking Personal Credibility and Thoroughness
